The Northern Horse http://www.drakensberghorseriding.co.za Northern Drakensberg Horse Riding Adventures Thu, 15 Dec 2011 16:08:29 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.2.1 Foals born! http://www.drakensberghorseriding.co.za/foals-born/ http://www.drakensberghorseriding.co.za/foals-born/#comments Tue, 26 Jan 2010 15:19:43 +0000 lindsaycarte http://www.drakensberghorseriding.co.za/?p=89 Five foals have been born this season from the esteemed Boerperd stallion Tornado of the Cloete Boerperds.  The stallion spent a few months with our herd in 2008 and grew particularly fond of Ophelia.  She was the first to deliver a little filly called Torphi.  Ophelia’s elder daughter Katrina was next to pop with a little colt called Katado.  Unfortunately Katrina’s elder daughter Nece had a still birth and Lollipop’s beautiful chestnut filly died at 2 months of Billary.  Lollipop’s elder daughter Popsy had a cheeky colt, Torsy.
